What’s New

Latest models on LeapRiver

Just released and ready to route.

Why LeapRiver

Pick your model with the numbers in front of you.

We publish what each model costs, where it runs and how it behaves before you write a line of code. No opaque reseller margin, no guessing which route you actually hit — you choose the model and see the price.

/01

Specs before signup

Context window, billing unit, p50 latency and the exact model ID are on the page. What you read is the route you get — we don’t silently swap providers mid-request.

/02

Change models, keep the code

Your workload changes, so the model should too. Point a different model ID at the same request body and it just works — no client rewrite, no second integration.

Docs written for shipping

Every page ends in a request you can paste, not a demo you can watch. Copy the snippet, drop your key, and you have a live call.

Four modalities

Four modalities, one endpoint

Video, image, text and audio all answer on the same host with the same key. Filter by what the model actually controls — resolution, duration, edit precision, context — then sort on price.

/ 01 VIDEO

Video models

Clip generation from 480p to 4K, plus first/last-frame pinning, multi-reference input and native audio. Priced per second of output, so a 5-second spot costs five times the rate — not a flat guess.

Image models

Text-to-image and instruction-led editing, with reference images to hold a character or product steady across a series. Sort by resolution, edit precision and price per render.

Chat, reasoning, code and tool-calling agents with structured output. Compare on context window, output speed and the input/output split — the two numbers that decide your bill.

What keeps the pipe running

Three things we measure and publish, not promise.

🛡️

Failover before you notice

Endpoints get probed every 900ms. One that starts to slow is pulled from the pool and your call is re-sent elsewhere — before it errors, not after.

📈

Spend you can see

Every request is itemised by model, key and route. Set a hard cap per key and you get warned while there is still credit left to move.

🔀

Routing that decides per request

Tell the gateway what matters on this call — cheapest, fastest or most stable — and it picks the endpoint per request. You can also pin a route when you need determinism.

🏷️

Prices on the page

Provider list price sits next to the LeapRiver price on every model, before you call. You are billed per unit with no platform fee and no recurring charge.

Integration

Live in four steps, about ten minutes

01

Open an account

Email and a password. $1 of credit lands immediately so you can call a real model straight away — no card details.

02

Generate a key

The key works for every model on the platform, and you can issue a separate one per environment with its own spend cap.

03

Repoint your client

The endpoint speaks OpenAI, Anthropic and Google wire formats, so you change the base URL rather than rewriting your client.

04

Send the first request

From the first call you get per-request routing, automatic failover and the routed price rather than list.

FAQ

Questions we get asked

The short answers, before you open a support ticket.

How does LeapRiver decide which provider handles my request?
You pick the model on the model page, and we pick a route that has healthy latency and capacity right now. Every 900 ms the router probes each provider’s status for the model you asked for, then forwards to whichever response is fastest. We don’t silently swap providers mid-request — what the model page says is what you get.
Does the same API key work across every model on LeapRiver?
Yes. One LeapRiver key calls text, image, video and audio models through the same OpenAI-compatible endpoint. You just change the model ID in the request body to swap families — no second integration, no re-issuing keys.
How is the LeapRiver discount calculated against the list price?
We blend pricing across the providers we route to, subtract the routing overhead, and pass the saving through. The number you see is the saving you actually get on this route, not a marketing rounded figure. Refresh the page and you’ll see the rate move if the underlying mix moves.
Can I bring my own provider key?
Yes — on Business plans, you can plug a provider key into LeapRiver and we route through your account at your contract terms. Solo and / default accounts use our blended pricing. Toggle is one setting in the console.
What happens if the route you picked degrades mid-request?
If the chosen provider times out or returns 5xx, we retry the same request on a different provider that supports the model. You see one bill, the same model, and the latency of whichever route finished second. We surface the failover in the usage dashboard so you can see which routes are noisy.
Is there a minimum spend or contract?
Solo has no minimum — pay-as-you-go at the published rates, and you can stop whenever. Business plans ship monthly minimums plus committed-use discounts; talk to us if your team needs a custom envelope. There is no setup fee on either tier.
How are tokens counted for image and video models?
Image models are billed per generated image at the published per-image rate. Video models are billed per second of output video, with the same fractional-second precision as the underlying provider’s API. Each model page shows the exact unit next to the price so there is no guesswork.
Which languages does LeapRiver support in its SDK and console?
The console runs in 8 languages today: English, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Italian and Spanish. The SDK follows whatever language you are coding in — Python, Node, Go, Rust and curl examples are in the docs.
